Ellen’s is a locally owned ice cream parlor on the popular Capital Street in Downtown Charleston. The owner, Ellen, makes all the ice cream her self on a daily basis- this is authentic homemade ice cream! Ellen is a great person who runs a great business; keeping the downtown vibe. Specialty flavors of ice cream are created all the time, but I personally sick to the basics- chocolate. Ellen’s also offers lunch food such as soup, but there are plenty of other different types of restaurants within walking distance if you prefer to keep it an ice cream joint. Ellen’s has become so popular in town that Ellen distributes ice cream to other local restaurants, such as The Bridge Road Bistro, to use as their signature ice cream.
