In celebration of Lent, the St. Anthony Catholic Church on 1000 Sixth Street is holding fish dinners every Friday. Built on the belief that fasting and not eating meat until Easter during the Lenten season, the church makes it easy for those who are fasting.
Starting March 18, every succeeding Fridays until Easter on April 24, the church will be serving Cajun-style fish, battered, breaded and fried, accompanied by green beans, baked potato, coleslaw and roll on the side. The set meal comes with a drink at $7. A healthier, baked option is also available at $7.50. Senior citizen discount is set to $1 off the meal price.
