Jack Rollins of Peter Cottontail Fame To Be Inducted to WV Music Hall of Fame

Musician and songwriter Jack Rollins — who wrote the quintissential Easter song Here Comes Peter Cottontail, Christmas carol mainstay Frosty the Snowman, and other holiday favorites, will be conducted to the WV Music Hall of Fame.

Rollins was born in Keyser, West Virginia in 1906. During his carreer, her wrote songs for dozens of country stars, including George Jones and Eddy Arnold. Rollins passed away in 1973.

Rollins is scheduled to be inducted into the WV Music Hall of Fame along with Grammy winner Kathy Mattea and a host of other WV musical luminaries on October 15, 2011. The induction ceremony will be hosted by Hollywood Squares emcee Peter Marshall, and Morgan Spurlock who director of ‘Super Size Me.”
