Chocolate lovers have more reason to celebrate as Lewisburg brings back its annual chocolate festival. Now in its 6th year, the festival features 3 days of chocolate goodness, culminating on Saturday, April 14 with the Chocolate Tasting Extravaganza.
The festival starts on April 12, with a cooking class on how to prepare dinner using chocolate in creative ways. The class will be taught by Chef LeeAnn Rodgers of Blackwell’s Restaurant. It will be held at Carnegie Hall at 6:30pm. Fee for the class is $70, which includes dinner. Sitting is limited, so call (304) 645-7917 to book your slot.
Friday events include chocolatey crafts for children ages 3-10 at 4:30pm (kids must be pre-registered by April 7 to participate), followed by a demonstration, reception and reflection with Chef Richard Rosendale of The Greenbrier at 7pm.
Aside from the Chocolate tasting extravaganza, Saturday events include the HospiceCare 10K Chocolate Chase, Chocolate Brunch, viewing of the original Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory movie, Chocolate Bake Off, Chocolate Mousse Eating Contest, Self-Guided Tour of History of Chocolate, The Greenbrier Chef Demonstration, more Chocolatey Crafts, children’s story telling, demonstration of Ganache at Home, and an evening with Anais Mitchell. These events will be held in various venues around Lewisburg.
