“Doughboy” — a feature-length family drama shot in West Virginia, will be shown in San Diego and Cincinnati.
“Doughboy” is about a young man who moves to West Virginia after the 9/11 attacks, and vandalizes a statue of an American doughboy (these commemorative statues represent American soldiers who served in World War I).
After being assigned to community service at a local veterans home, the boy’s opinions changed when veterans share their personal stories about war and patriotism.
The film was shot in West Virginia over a 19-day period last March.
