Discover the wonders of wild food in September during the Nature Wonder Wild Food Weekend at the North Bend Statepark in Cairo, WV.
The state park is the perfect venue for the nation’s longest running annual wild food event, sitting at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. The event aims to educate the participants with the benefits of using edible wild foods, and the weekend’s program includes experiences in finding, processing and feasting on edible wild food found around the park.
Lodging is available within the park, though camping is also an option for those who prefer it. Southern style meals are available throughout the entire weekend, and there will also be a Saturday Wild Food Buffet social and other wild food sampling opportunities.
